Struggling with suicide?

In the US and Canada, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The Trevor Project supports LGBTQ+ young people at 1-866-488-7386, or text START to 678-678.

Anywhere else in the world. This site does not keep helpline numbers for every country, because a number that has gone out of date is worse than no number at all. Find a Helpline maintains them and will show you the services where you are, free and confidential.

Global map of pediatric suicide

Age
122 countries

Default pediatric rate, represents all ‘children’, however it is dominated by 15–19-year-olds, who account for the large majority of deaths; the younger ages contribute little to the count and mostly serve to dilute the denominator. It is the default because it includes all children, but not because there are many suicides under 15 years of age.
